Galilee Food Forests Projects are part of the Mediteranian Food Forest Belt, a vision for a wide living safety net, creating future food security and abundant locations of land for the benefit of all people, as well as animals, birds, the air, water, trees and heirloom plant varieties. We get much inspiration from similar and unique projects and we see our place as part of the whole. The Food Forest Forum is also a platform of support and inspiration for us to cooperate with more food forests in our region, learn and exchange ideas and insights.
The upper Galilee Regional Council, is the district’s authority among a network of regional councils of Northern Israel. The Regional Council is doing alot top help preserve and protect the nature in the area, and transitioning to a sustainable approach quickly. The council has been positive, accesible and responsive in so many ways! The Galilee Food Forests Association thanks the municipality for supporting, helping and ongoing encouragment to making this dream come true, and finding sustainable solutions for the benefit of all our children and future generations.
HaGoshrim Hotel, is located at the entrance of Kibbutz HaGoshrim, at the center of the Upper Galilee area, and right next to the 1st educational food forest we are establishing.
Galilee Food Forests Association is cooperating with Hagoshrim Hotel, by offering guided tours in the neighboring food forest on a weekly basis.
Thanks to the support and kind encouragment of Kibbutz Hagoshrim members, we are to making this dream possible together.
The Sustainable Global Leadership Academy has recruited and is mentoring 3 of our team members, training us to lead change by exapmle and be leaders in the international efforts for sustainability and hope for future genrations.

Galilee Food Forests Association was founded by 8 Sustainability leaders, 4 of which are Tel-Hai College graduates of Environmental Studies, and Academic Lecturers. Thanks to the Tel-Hai college located in the Upper Galilee, the Local ecological awarness of students and the region’s residents overall has been positivly affected by the many conventions and courses the college is bringing to the Galilee.

Galilee Food Forests Association has recently established a most beutiful connection with the renouned project called “walk about love”. Thanks to Mr. Gad Aviad who attended the Israel Trail with Walk About Love, a dedicated energetic group from the walk came to the Koren Forest for a day of work. By experiencing the forest for one day they already feel part of it and we hope this cooporation will reoccur a couple times a year as a mutual tradition for our common cause. Returning stability to our eco-system.
The international permaculture convergence has been held at the end of 2017 in India. Galilee Food Forests Association’s Co-Founder and forest keeper Yuval Leibowitz has been a student in the international teacher training program and represented us at the IPC INDIA.
